Anyone who wants to return to Syria can inform us. From January 1 2026 the regular amount of return support applies.
Please note:
- View the terms and conditions and answers on frequently asked questions.
- Collect the necessary data beforehand. Note that you have to fill in the form at one sitting.
- If you do not have a valid or expired passport, you are responsible for obtaining a replacement travel document yourself.
To apply for a replacement travel document, follow these steps:
- Use the “Mofa Sy” app to make an appointment at the Syrian Embassy in Brussels or Bonn. Make sure you have your national ID number handy.
- Go to the embassy. Bring copies of your (identity) documents or show documents on your phone. Bring also 1 passport photo and an international birth certificate for children born in the Netherlands. You can request this from the municipality.
- Send a copy of the laissez-passer to the DTenV coordinator. In principle, you can pick it up the same day.
Are additional documents or information required? In that case, the embassy will contact DTenV. DTenV will then send the additional information to the embassy and collect the laissez-passer. You will be informed further by the DTenV coordinator.
The form is available in Dutch, English and Arabic. Select the preferred language with the buttons at the top right.
